Ikelite Olympus Tough TG-6 Underwater Housing Camera Package
The Ikelite Olympus Tough TG-6 Underwater Housing Camera Packagee is a great value in underwater photography offering a top notch camera and housing package that offers top quality 4k video resolution as well as a fantastic 25-100mm zoom lens and high speed shutter and image capabilities.
The Ikelite Olympus Tough TG-6 Underwater Housing Camera Package features a bright 25-100mm mid-range zoom lens and a high-speed back-lit CMOS image sensor for excellent performance in low-light settings. The microscope mode has been improved since the previous TG-5 model and is capable of macro close-up images that are as good as if not better than expensive full-frame DSLR cameras.
The TG-6 supports ultra HD 4K video and RAW image capture, which is a powerful tool for post-dive color corrections using either Adobe Lightroom or the included software. The TG-6 is waterproofed to 50′ (15.2m) even without a housing, which makes set-up a little less stress-inducing.
Due to the position of the camera’s flash in relation to its lens, the built-in flash is not suitable to illuminate photos under water. For the best color and clarity, we recommend adding a filter, strobe, or constant-on light. The built-in flash may be used to trigger external strobes via fiber optic sync cord. Two ports are provided for the connection of up to two fiber optic cords.
Any current model Ikelite DS strobe can be triggered fiber optically with true automatic Olympus TTL exposure using the RC1 TTL Receiver # 4412 and Fiber Optic Cord # 4501. The AF35 strobe is not compatible with this housing. Read more about fiber optic strobe options here…
Wide Angle, Macro + Filters
The Ikelite 3″ diameter ports feature a 67mm thread on the front for the easy attachment of external wide angle and macro wet lenses. Wide angle lenses make objects appear smaller, so that you can fit more into your frame underwater. Macro close-up lenses make small objects appear larger, so that tiny creatures will fill your frame.
The DC1 6″ Dome Port # 6401 offers the best of everything: wide angle, macro, and over-under all on one dive. This special dome port replaces the housing’s standard port and provides sharp 25mm wide angle, full zoom through and macro capabilities, and is perfect for split shots (half-in, half-out of the water).
The WD-3 Wide Angle Dome # 6430.3 attaches to the front of the standard port and provides mid-range angle of view with no vignetting (dark shadows in the corners of the image).
The W-30 Wide Angle Lens # 6430, INON UWL-H100, and other 67mm threaded wide angle lenses, provide a wider maximum angle of view. Because these are separated from the camera’s lens by glass, air, and water, some vignetting and edge distortion will be present. These effects can be reduced or eliminated by using a smaller aperture, zooming in slightly, and/or cropping in post-production.
External macro lenses with 67mm threads from INON, Epoque, and other manufacturers, can be attached directly to the front of the housing’s port.
3″ diameter color filters press directly onto these ports. Most wide angle lenses require a 3.6″ diameter color filter. Refer to the product page for information on color filter compatibility.

DS51 Deluxe Strobe Kit with RC1 TTL Receiver
The DS51 strobe with RC1 TTL Receiver are the perfect companions to the TG-5 system. The RC1 allows the camera to communicate timing information directly to the DS51 strobe. Compared to other slave TTL systems, the RC1 provides more accurate exposure, improves camera battery life, and allows you to take more photos faster. The DS51 accepts 4 AA batteries (not included) and is super compact and lightweight.
Action Tray II with Quick Release Handle
The included tray is designed to be super slim and streamlined for comfortable use underwater and ease of travel. The Quick Release Handle features a cushy rubber over-molded grip and our signature quick detachment point for the included ball arm.
The housing’s shutter trigger lever may be extended using the optional Trigger Extension # 4077.95 for more comfortable use when using a Right-Hand Quick Release Handle # 2605.05 (extension and right-hand handle sold separately).
The hard anodized aluminum ball arm is more flexible and versatile than arms using pop bead style or “flex” components. The ball arm system provides a huge variety of mounting options for attachment of optional focus lights and other accessories.
Wide Angle, Macro + Filters
Our 3″ diameter ports feature a 67mm thread on the front for the easy attachment of external wide angle and macro wet lenses. Macro close-up lenses make small objects appear larger, so that tiny creatures will fill your frame. Additional Lenses Not Included.
Underwater Housing, Olympus Tough TG-6 Camera and Dual DS51 Strobes Wide Angle Kit with Dual RC1 TTL Receivers
This housing is designed for a deeper depth rating and more robust handling than the comparable Olympus brand model. Controls are provided for all important camera functions. A side-mounted trigger-type shutter lever is more comfortable to use than top mounted styles.
Dual Quick Release Handles. This is the most popular tray and handle set-up and our favorite for compact systems. The Quick Release Handle features a cushy rubber over-molded grip and our signature quick detachment point for the included ball arm. The included trigger extension brings the shutter lever right to your fingertips when holding the right-hand handle.
Having a dual handle tray is great for carrying your system on the surface and makes it easier to grab onto when someone hands your housing down from a boat.
