The Island of Cozumel is located off the coast of the Mexican Mayan Riviera. This low key and relaxed island has lots to offer. You can explore Mayan Ruins, beaches galore and visit the town of San Miguel located 15kms from the resort. You can also visit the mainland, a short ferry ride to Playa del Carmen.

Diving Cozumel Reef Marine Park

The Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park protects part of the Mesoamerican reef system, the world’s second largest barrier reef. The reef is home to more than 26 species of coral and 500 species of fish. Sharks, rays and hawksbill, green and loggerhead turtles are often spotted in the area.

Cozumel offers world-class drift diving along lush walls. There are dives suitable to all levels but all dives in Cozumel are drift dives. Trip package include 4 days of diving 2 dives per day departing in the morning and returning just after lunch. There are over 23 dive sites to explore just a short boat ride from the resort. Options to add additional dive days, nitrox fills and aluminum 80 double tanks.

Cenote Diving Add a magical day of cenote diving to your trip! All cavern dives are guided by the the amazing staff at Under the Jungle Diving. Divers do not need to be cave certified but must be experienced and comfortable in the water. The cenotes should be on every divers bucket list!

PADI Open Water Diver Course We will be offering the option to complete your PADI Open Water Course in Cozumel. Do your pool and classroom training here in Niagara and then finish your open water dives with DDS Instructor Grace over the first two days of your trip. Leaving you the rest of the week to dive. Train in warm water under the guidance of the DDS training philosophy.

About your Trip Leader

Artist, Cave Diver and DDS PADI Instructor Grace Marquez will share her passion for underwater world with you on this trip. When she’s not diving Grace is a full time artist, trained in the fine arts at Queen’s University. Grace translates her magical experiences as a diver into her joyfully colourful or at times atmospheric and moody paintings. Grace has exhibited in the U.S. and Canada and her work is found in private collections around the world. Trip Package includes a fun 1 hour Dive and Draw Session led by Grace where you can create your own memory of the reef as a trip souvenir. You will have your choice between two underwater subjects drawn on mixed media quality paper with coloured pencils that are water-soluble for added blending. Packaging to safely take your art home and all art materials included.

Option to add a Private Lesson 1.5 Hour drawing session to capture some of the beauty we see while we are in Cozumel. Tailor-made subject for each person (underwater or topside). One-to-one instruction push your creativity! All materials provided. 1-3 people max per session. (2 sessions available)

How to Book

Trip Payments Deposit due at booking $399 CDN. Final payment due September 1, 2022.

Cancellation Policy Package includes Air Canada Group Care Plan. Cancel by October 13, 2022 for a full refund, minus the $59 Group Care Plan and $50 Administrative Fee ($109 total). Refunds will be returned to the original form of payment. All payments after October 13, 2022 are non refundable.

Diver Insurance is Advised to protect yourself it is recommended that all divers have diving accident insurance. Divers Alert Network and Dive Assure offer scuba diving plans.

Fuel Surcharge If the price increased following the imposition of a surcharge on fuel by the carrier or an increase in the exchange rate, insofar as the exchange rate applicable 45 days before the date on which the services are provided has increased by more than 5% since the date on which the contract was entered into; and/or if the increase, without taking into account any increase in the Quebec sales tax or Canada’s goods and services tax, is equal to or greater than 7% of the price of services, the customer may choose between full and immediate reimbursement of the services or the provision of similar services.
