Halcyon Divers Alert Marker Big Open Bottom 4.5′ Surface Marker Buoy  is one of our most popular surface marker options for new open water divers through to experienced technical divers.

The Halcyon Divers Alert Marker Open Bottom surface marker is available in yellow or orange and stands 4.5′ high when fully inflated in the water.

The Open Bottom DAM works in conjunction with a Halcyon Defender spool as a delayed surface marker to be deployed easily from depth giving the diver a reference line to the surface and also to communicate their position if drifting in a current where the dive boat or surface support can keep an eye for the diver.

Generally speaking yellow is your every day colour, orange is an emergency colour and we now have this amazing open bottom SMB in PINK!

The Halcyon Open DAM is easily inflated at depth from exhaled regulator exhaust bubbles or in warm water divers have the option of filling the bag off of a second stage regulator when they purge the reg.

Diver Alert Markers use an integrated pressure-relief valve, allowing them to be deployed from depth.

The Halcyon Oral inflate marker does not use a pressure-relief valve; it is only suitable for surface deployment.

The Halcyon OC Divers Alert marker when deflated, fits in a Halcyon thigh pocket or backplate Storage Pak as well as many other brands of drysuit or wetsuit pockets.
