Hot-dip Galvanizing offers the highest level of protection against corrosion and unparalleled protection for SCUBA Cylinders. However, they do come with a caveat. Cylinders that have been finished with the Hot-dipped galvanizing process often result in small blemishes and variations in color that is not as smooth as a painted finish. Over time, these blemishes will settle into a semi-uniform, silver, “mottled” appearance. Please understand and take this into account when making your cylinder selection.
