TDI Advanced Nitrox Course

What will you learn?

Divers Edge Diver after a technical dive on the Empress of Ireland

If you’ve completed your enriched air nitrox course and have been enjoying the benefits of longer bottom time, you’re probably thinking you’d like to stay down even longer as the bottom times on deeper dives are still too short.

Learn the benefits of choosing the right gases for deeper diving and learn how to benefit from the utilization of a hyperoxic decompression and start your journey into technical diving.

TDI Advanced Nitrox  can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career.

Advanced Nitrox is also a great course for those wanting to extend their bottom times in shallower depths such as scientific diver, and a must for SCR or CCR divers.

Prerequisites:

Enriched Air Nitrox (easy or computer based nitrox courses are not  acceptable)
30 Logged Dives Minimum
Physically Fit
Comfortable in the water
NAUI Intro to Tech

You’ll be using the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diving manual for your course, which explains in an easy to understand practical manner the complex information that Advanced Nitrox divers need to know.

Advanced Nitrox diving allows divers to use higher fractions of oxygen to eliminate inert gas from the diver’s blood and tissues at a more efficient rate than decompressing on back gas.

Our TDI Advanced Nitrox Course gives students the tools to handle various Nitrox mixes from 21-100% safely preparing them for dives requiring staged decompression. Students will learn a great deal about the Physics and Physiology behind the gasses involved in this course and gain extensive academic knowledge that was started during their journey through basic nitrox.

More Advanced Concepts such as Decompression Theory with regards to dissolved, free phase and dual phase gas models are discussed, as well as emergency procedures, advanced dive planning, additional breathing alternatives and more.

This course is often combined with a our TDI Decompression Procedures Course or NAUI Technical Decompression Diver Course.

Graduates can enroll in the NAUI Helitrox Diver Course upon successful completion of this program, allowing students to dive safer and deeper using Helium Based mixes to a maximum depth of 150′ staying within no stop limits unless tech certified.

If you are interested in this course send us an email and we can give you an information package including a CD and more.
