Dive The SS Wexford Shipwreck in Lake Huron. Dive Charter off the shores of Grand Bend, Lake Huron

We are running four charters to dive the SS Wexford Shipwreck the weekend of Saturday June 18 and Sunday June 19, 2022. Two tank charters available both days with morning and afternoon departure times. Come and dive one day only or grab a hotel and stay and dive both days! There is a lot to see on this 250ft long wreck.

About the wreck The SS Wexford was a steel-hulled, propeller-driven, cargo ship built in 1883. The ship was lost on Lake Huron with all hands on 9 November 1913 during the Great Lakes storm of 1913. Sources cite conflicting numbers for crew lost with 17 to 24 crew being listed. Her cargo at the time of loss was 96,000 bushels of wheat. The wreck was discovered August 25th, 2000 sitting intact and upright in 75 feet of water. A copper wreath was placed on the wreck to honour the crew on the 100th Anniversary of The Great Storm of 1913.
