Our Ultimate Wreck Diving Course is the next level after your intial Level 1 Technical Diving Course, as there is absolutely NO shortage of quality shipwrecks in Canada and we are pleased to bring you the most comprehensive wreck diving course there is.
This course offers a lot of new and exciting techniques to the Technical diver.
Some of our local wrecks offer a more serious, more treacherous environment than anything previously experienced by the diver, even those with cave certifications.
What environment is more dangerous, Cave or Wreck? That depends on the environment and the experience of the divers engaging in that environment, which is why Cave Divers should take a Cave Diving course and Wreck Divers should take a Wreck Course.
While both environments share the same equipment configuration and similar techniques, the 2 environments are significantly different.
Cave Divers traverse thousands of feet
into caves, while wreck divers penetrate into (generally)
tighter, siltier passages that are (often) deeper
than what many cave divers experience. This does not
include Side-mount diving.
For this reason, we have developed an incredible Wreck program for the Technical Diver to experience either before or after Technical Diver Level 2.
Through proper buoyancy and fin techniques
learned in your Open Water Technical Diving Courses,
the technical diver begins to progress into reel and
guideline handling, awareness and thus begins their
transformation from o/w tech divers to overhead environment
technical divers.
Once these foundation skills are laid,
the Ultimate Wreck candidate experiences many skills
and scenarios that will be played out and build upon
through skill demonstration, simulation and repetition.
The Ultimate Wreck Program offers the Technical Diver the opportunity to go through every possible element of what real wreck diving is all about and successfull candidates will complete all 3 Levels of Wreck Diving including, Level 1 which is External Survey, Level 2 NAUI Wreck Penetration and of Course the Everest of Wreck Diving, NAUI Technical Wreck Penetration.
