Additional Details
Lets face it, Deep Air Diving is dead, anyone still practicing diving deep on air is a dinosaur and is an accident waiting to happen. It has been proven that diving deep on air numbs divers senses causing an impairment that can lead to errors in gas calculations, problem recognition and problem solving, oxygen toxicity and panic. Why would you want to subject yourself to this?
The NAUI Heliair Diver course provides the training and experience you need to competently plan and execute extended range dives that require stage decompression utilizing Heliair and EANx or oxygen.
You’ll learn the hazards and proper use of Heliair for dives to maximum of 180' that require stage decompression, utilizing EANx mixtures or oxygen during decompression. This course may be combined with the Decompression Techniques Diver Course with additional dives and training.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, 75 dives minimum, (10 of which must be decompression dives in the environment in which the course is being taught); and be certified as a NAUI Technical EANx Diver, Decompression Techniques Diver unless combined with this course, and NAUI Helitrox Diver or equivalent thereof. This Course has replaced Extended Range which was a deep air course formerly available from NAUI, we do not Teach TDI Extended Range.
Students will be expected to have maintained their skills at a level of Intro To Tech prior to the Start of this intensive training process. We have returned back to our most successfull format of consecutive sessions over a string of 4-7 days straight. We will no longer drag courses out waiting for you to improve, you will either pass or fail.
If you're interested in this program a CD is available with a wealth of information.
Cost is only $495+GST or can be combined with our Helitrox program for $795+GST.
